Fly to Serengeti from Arusha in this short Tanzania Safari. Flying to Serengeti saves on time spent on the road while enhancing your wildlife experience spending more time experience wildlife and nature. The Serengeti offers unrivaled wildlife sightings in spectacular landscapes of rolling grasslands and rocky outcrops popularly known as kopjes.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and drive to Arusha airport for flight to North Serengeti. After you arrived, you will be picked and proceed to a game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch we will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti River Camps on Full Board.
Early morning breakfast and then depart for game drives in Kogatende /Mara river area with your expert guide. Many visitors only want to see the river crossings, but the true spectacle of the migration is more than 1,245,000 wildebeests, 200,000 Burch ell’s zebras, 18,000 elands and 500,000 Thomson’s Gazelles filling the entire stretch of landscape. The shifting columns of the herds as they traverse the valleys and the hills can only be watched in awe. There is nothing else like this on earth. After lunch we will drive to central Serengeti. Game on route until we reach Kubukubu Tented Lodge for Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we head toward the Ngorongoro Crater. descend 600m into this magnificent Crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House.
After breakfast we will start driving back to Arusha. It’s a transfer day.
Linda, Scott and Bradley will be dropped at Kibo palace hotel, while Lisa and Bruce will be taken to the airport ready to catch their flight to Rwanda.
